What's a Philly Cheesesteak?

In 1930, the cheesesteak was invented when Pat Olivieri, a hot dog vendor in Philadelphia and namesake to Pat's King of Steaks, threw beef on his grill to make a sandwich. A passing cab driver asked for one, too, and soon Olivieri had a following. The rest is delicious history.

How do you eat a Philly Cheesesteak?

Those in the know in Philadelphia will say you can’t sit down to eat. You gotta stand up. Cheesesteaks are so juicy you gotta lean forward and protect your front from the drippings. You’ll be glad you did. Enjoy!
